Signings Arriving

After months of speculation, Richie Appleby is finally a Hull City player. He signed a three-year deal yesterday.

Livingston defender John Anderson completed his move to Boothferry Park today after passing a medical. He has signed a two-year deal, with the option for a third year.

The 29-year-old said: "Moving down from Scotland is a big decision but if you want to get on in your career these things have to be done and I'm sure that I've made the right choice.
"I'm not expecting just to walk straight into the side because there is a good squad down here and it'll be up to me to prove to the manager that I'm worth my place.
"I'm looking forward to the challenge and can't wait for pre-season."

City have already announced the signings of centre back Greg Strong on a permanent deal and young Newcastle midfielder Stuart Green on loan. Cambridge's Ian Ashbee is expected to follow, but he says that nothing has been agreed yet.

"I haven't signed anything yet and it makes sense for me to keep my options open with a few weeks still to go to pre-season training," said the 25-year-old.
He added: "A move to Hull, who are very ambitious, is the favourite at the moment, but you never know what might happen in this business."

Meanwhile City are being linked with Huddersfield's Jon Dyson and Crewe's Shaun Smith. Both are experienced central defenders.
