First half goals from Stuart Green and Kevin Ellison were followed by a third from Leon Cort and a Stuart Elliott penalty in the second half to make it a resounding 4-0 win.

The first came in the 33rd minute. Craig Fagan ran onto Nick Barmby's ball, played it past the keeper and Green tapped into the open net.

Marc Joseph was denied as his header hit the underside of the bar and came back out, but Ellison made it 2-0 three minutes before half time.

Peter Taylor substituted the entire side at half time, and saw his team go 3-0 up just before the hour mark. Keith Andrews, making his first appearance in a Hull City shirt, crossed for Leon Cort to head in.
