Phil Brown is set to sign a deal to remain as the club's manager on a 12-month rolling contract.

He will be assisted by 58-year-old Horton, who is no stranger to the club. He originally joined City as player-manager in 1984, taking the Tigers to promotion from Division Three in his first season in charge. He was sacked in April 1988. He then went on to manage Oxford, Manchester City, Huddersfield, Brighton and Port Vale. His last job in management was at Macclesfield, whom he was sacked by in October last year.

Colin Murphy, who was Brown's number 2, will return to working as the club's Development Director.

Steve Parkin will remain in place as First Team Coach.
