Season Preview: Everton

How did you fare last season?
Without winning anything, we had a brilliant season. The early exit from Europe and shocking start in the Premiership was forgotten with a 5th place finish plus two trips to Wembley. Great season.

How do you expect you'll do this season?
It will be difficult to match last season but with Everton anything is possible

What have you done in the transfer market this summer?
Re-signed Jo from Siteeh on loan plus a few names for rezzies.

Which of your new signings are you expecting most from?
The return of The Yak and Mikel Arteta after long injuries is what we are most looking forward to. You always expect when these two are on the pitch.

Where do you think you'll need to strengthen in the January transfer window?
Where do we start! We are okay in goal but virtually everywhere else in particular at full back and wide midfield. Our squad is amongst the smallest in The Premiership.

Have you any promising youngsters breaking into the team?
You will already know about Jack Rodwell, future england Captain, then there is a local lad called Jose Baxter. There are others - we need James Wallace & Kieran Agard to step up to the mark quickly and they will certainly get the chance. Have a good look at our bench this season and see which names you recognise.

Have you got the right man in charge of the team?
The saying goes - In Moyes We Trust. Yes, the right man is in charge of our small club, it is widely recoginsed that he punches above his weight season after season so now it is a matter of how much longer we keep hold of him.

Will he still be there at the end of the season?
Yes, plus he will have put silverware on the shelf.

Is the club being run well? Are you likely to be singing 'Sack the board' any time soon?
Fans are split over 'Blue Bill' Kenwright. He has taken us as far as he can and he admits as much. We need the right 'sugar daddy' to take us to the next level.

Which team do you most want to beat and why?
Silly question, obviously Liverpool. Like us they have won nothing at all for the last 3 seasons but to listen to the supporters and the press you would never believe that fact. Long may Rafa, the fat Spanish Waiter, reign. Stevie GBH or OJ Gerrard is most reviled for obvious reasons.

Who do you think will win the league?
I hope the Manc's win it for a record 19th time as it will drive the Liverpool supporters over the edge!
