Season Preview: Blackburn Rovers

Last updated : 13 August 2009 By Brian Crawford
How did you fare last season?
Just glad to stay up fairly comfortably in the end; we were going down under Ince.

How do you expect you'll do this season?
Mid-table.

What have you done in the transfer market this summer? Which of your
new signings are you expecting most from?
Having watched the pre-season friendly against Hibs, loan signing Di Santo looks like he has a touch of class. Not sure about our new Croation striker having not seen him. The rest of our signings look like squad players. The young French lad Nzonzi could have potential.

Where do you think you'll need to strengthen in the January transfer window?
In desperate need of a creative midfielder, especially if Dunny can't find his fitness.

Have you any promising youngsters breaking into the team?
Doran looks the best young prospect.

Have you got the right man in charge of the team? Will he still be
there at the end of the season?
Yes, Sam is the man.

Is the club being run well? Are you likely to be singing 'Sack the
board' any time soon?
John Williams is running the club well.

Which team do you most want to beat and why?
Burnley: our neighbours are getting very excited about thier prospects for the coming season and need to be reminded of their inferiority.

Who do you think will win the league?
Chelsea.

Who do you think's going down?
Portsmouth, and two from Hull, Burnley, Wolves and Birmingham.

How do you think Hull City will fare this season?
Think they will do well to stay out of bottom three, sorry!
