Season Preview 2007/08

Are you feeling optimistic for the upcoming season?
Not particularly. Our squad doesn't look much different to last season's.

Are you happy with the summer signings?
The four we've signed seem to be smart acquisitions but we could do with more. We've been publicly linked with several exciting players but failed in attempts to sign them, which is disappointing.

Happy with the gaffer?
Phil Brown did just about enough to save us last season, but this time he's there from the start so the finger is likely to be pointed at him if things go wrong.

Players to watch: Veterans Dean Windass, Nick Barmby and Michael
Bridges all seem as capable as ever, providing they stay fit.

Likely boo-boys: Our heroic captain of promotions from Division Three
and League One, Ian Ashbee, needs to prove he's more than a lower
league midfielder if he is to continue leading this team.

Predicted finish: Just above the relegation zone
Who'll go up? Sheffield United, Cardiff, Wolves
Who'll go down? Colchester, Scunthorpe, Blackpool
