A Little More Action Please

The Manchester City takeover, the successor to Alan Curbishley at West Ham, the reaction to Kevin Keegan leaving Newcastle... It's been a big week for Sky Sports News and the back pages of the papers, who all love to make the most of "news" like this. I don't think I really care about any of it, but I'm sure I'm supposed to - Sky Sports News says so.

I didn't bother finding a pub, nor even contemplated subscribing to Setanta, to watch the Andorra-England game. I'd almost forgotten there was another England game tomorrow. Am I missing out?

What I am missing is Hull City playing football. There's only so much media coverage, punditry and fan debates a man can take without actually watching his team play. That's what football's about, to me.

Everything feels like City is a Premier League club now and we're a part of it all, yet we've only had three games. It seems an age since our last one, and I for one cannot wait until we get on with our next.
