2008/09 Season Preview

Last updated : 06 August 2008 By Andy Beill
Happy with your club's summer work?
We had a spate of signings - six in the space of a fortnight - and a good start to the friendlies. We're still desperately in need of new strikers though and struggling to land our targets. We seem to be getting worse as the friendlies go on as well, but as long as the players are getting fit that's the main thing.

How popular is your gaffer with the fans at the minute?
Phil Brown's done the one thing no other Hull City manager has - taken us to the top flight - so he couldn't possibly be unpopular right now. He seems to be trying to sign the right players and we believe he'll do the best he can.

Your player to watch for 2008-09?
Former Benfica, Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder Geovanni seems the most promising of the new signings. We've got confidence in goalkeeper Boaz Myhill and defenders Michael Turner and Sam Ricketts making the step up.

Three wishes for the season?
1. Fair treatment from all (especially referees)
2. Our players to do their very best
3. Alex Ferguson to sell Fraizer Campbell to us

Who'll win the league?
Manchester United

Top four?
1. Manchester United
2. Liverpool
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal (closely followed by Spurs and Villa)

Relegated?
Stoke, West Brom and Bolton (Blackburn don't look too clever either)

Where will you finish?
We need to get the right striker(s) in if we are to avoid the bottom 3.
