Goal of the Month

City scored eight goals in December, which were as follows:

Steve McPhee scored after just 3 minutes against Cardiff at the KC Stadium. He started and then finished the move by lashing home Richard Garcia's cross from the right.

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel flapped at a Damien Delaney cross for Richard Garcia to score the second goal before Cardiff came back to earn a point.

Following defeats at Preston and Southampton, Caleb Folan got City back on track in the home game against Leicester. He scored his first goal for the club from Dean Windass's through ball 17 minutes in.

Fraizer Campbell made the win against Leicester safe, reacting quickest to Dean Windass's penalty miss to fire home the rebound.

A week later, Fraizer Campbell scored again. 37 minutes into the match, Charlton Athletic gave the ball away and Campbell punished their poor defending.

Richard Garcia scored an early second half goal against Wolves. Bryan Hughes played a through ball to Fraizer Campbell, who set up Garcia for the chance at the back post, which he finished through the keeper's legs.

Fraizer Campbell made the win against Wolves safe in the 61st minute. Richard Garcia's header from Andy Dawson's cross was saved, but Campbell was on hand to tap in the rebound.

Dean Windass sent City up to 8th after his goal was enough to beat Sheffield Wednesday. Having come on as an early substitute, he curled in a long range free kick after 33 minutes which the keeper got nowhere near.
