Goal of the Month

Last updated : 03 October 2007 By Andy Beill
The 6 goals scored this month were as follows:

Ian Ashbee scored in the televised game at Blackpool, volleying home from inside the area to equalise before the game eventually ended in defeat.

David Livermore earned City a point at home to Stoke with his goal. Michael Bridges switched the ball to Sam Ricketts on the right, his cross being nodded back across goal for Livermore to head in.

Away to Wolves, Dean Windass scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after Richard Garcia was brought down. He had to retrieve the ball from Jay-Jay Okocha, who also wanted to take the penalty, before sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

Henrik Pedersen scored twice in the home win against Ipswich. His first was a header from Okocha's cross, and his second was a left-footed shot from a long ball.

Wayne Brown got the other goal in that game, heading Okocha's cross in off the post.
