Goal of the Month

Last updated : 02 November 2003 By Andy Beill
Danny Allsopp v Northampton Town
Burgess headed the ball into the area, and Allsopp's snap-shot doubled City's lead just before half time.

Jason Price v Northampton Town
Price picked up the ball in the middle of the park and played it wide to Allsopp. He then crossed it in for Price who had continued his run to thump a header into the back of the net.

Jamie Forrester v Northampton Town
Forrester peeled away from his marker and received the ball from Burgess. He cut in and placed a low left-footed shot into the bottom corner of the goal to complete a 5-1 win in the 90th minute.

Jamie Forrester v Carlisle United
Forrester got to Price's deflected cross first to volley the winner in mid-air.

Stuart Elliott v Torquay United
Elliott saved a point for City late on after thumping home the ball from Forrester's pass.

Andy Holt v Lincoln City
Holt played a one-two with Allsopp on the edge of the box, running in to smash it past the keeper to give City a half time lead - his first goal in over two years.

Stuart Green v Lincoln City
City broke away on the counter attack after defending a corner, and Allsopp passed it through to Green. He finished cooly over the approaching keeper from 18 yards.
