Quite a mixed reaction coming home. On the one hand, Wolves would have scored about 5 but for Boaz and a strong defence. On the other, we had what looked a perfectly good goal disallowed, and Elliott forced a pair of good saves late on.

I thought we settled well after Miller forced an awesome save from Myhill inside 30 seconds, and put together some decent moves. We were looking very comfortable, but then they scored from our error. Ellison made a good tackle in the box, then miscontrolled and Seol beat him and then Edge, who'd slid in rashly, before whacking across the box, for 'Darren Delaney' (Talksport) to deflect in.

They were rampant for the rest of the half, and we were rubbish after half time. We subbed Andrews (definitely injured) for Green and McPhee (looked knocked) for Elliott after about half an hour. The tactics were confusing. Looked like 4-3-1-2 from the start, with Nick behind McPhee & Fagan. However, it was more like 4-5-1 with McPhee out wide. When Elliott came on, we switched to Fagan out wide and Elliott up front, then Ellison up front, then France came on and Fagan up front again, with Elliott and Ellison switching. Mental.

I thought we had the best of the last 20 too, with Elliott forcing 2 good saves, but on the whole, far too much long ball rubbish. Ellison was absolutely useless, Ashbee was chasing shadows and the service to Fagan and McPhee was below par for the 3rd successive game.

Positively, the defence was superb. Wiseman coped very well, Myhill was immense, Coles and Delaney were awesome. Wolves were my favourites to win the league, and their attacking play was brilliant. Kennedy-Ince-Ricketts-Seol-Cort-Miller just came forward in waves, tremendous attacking. They wasted a couple, Ellison cleared off the line, Myhill made 3 world class saves (although one was offside) and Delaney & Coles made a number of blocks, tackles and headers. Despite all that, we were always in it because we defended with real bottle. If I was PT, I'd still be looking for a midfielder before the deadline. He hasn't shown any faith in Woodhouse, Green has shown nothing and Ash & Andrews look too defensive.

The 'offside' goal looked OK to me. Ellison pressured, defender slipped, Elliott whacked across the face of goal and Barmby knocked it in. Will have to see it again, but looked OK to me.

I really enjoyed the day. Drive in was miserable in the rain, but Molineux was big and friendly. Tons of places to get food, good view, good support. Was very shocked at the amount of negativity in our support. Maybe understandable when people have paid so much money, but why go all that way to moan and complain. I wanted to sing and sing, but often we were too quiet. We were poor at times, but one of the best teams in the division were opposite us and they weren't planning on lying down. Frustrating thing is, we cut them to ribbons a few times with great moves, as at Wednesday, but we don't have control of midfield, so too often just hit long balls. 1 goal in 3 games says we aren't able to, or aren't trying to, play to our strengths.

Ratings: Bo 9, Wiseman 7, Edge 6, Coles 8, DD 8, Ellison 5, McPhee 6 (Elliott 6), Andrews 6 (Green 6), Ashbee 6, Barmby 6 (France), Fagan 7 (for sheer effort)

Onwards and upwards, give us our first win soon, please :)
