Good game, we got out of jail. Exactly what was needed at this time of the season, decent opposition, good work out.

First Half:
Myhill
Lynch Delaney Byron Edge
Price Ashbee Woodhouse Ellison
Barmby
McPhee

Great start, Myhill ball over the top, McPhee gathered and finished, 5 mins in. Price was a constant threat all half and hit a stinging volley from a good Ellison cross which Sharp saved well. Woodhouse curled wide and McPhee hammered just over and then they equalised. Corner from Mike Price (the very same) curled straight in with no-one on the front post and Boaz been obstructed by no. 9. Rest was quiet aside from Woodhouse curling onto the bar. Curtis was very tidy and lively again. Barmby a bit out of sorts, McPhee hungry, Lynch anonymous. Ferriby managed a few corners. Byron was a kid from the youth team who started nervously but came on really well and was stroking the ball about well.

Second Half:
Leite
Wiseman Cort Joseph Dawson
Fry Green Andrews Elliott
Fagan Butler

First real action, harmless cross, well collected by Leite who then falls backwards and drops it at the feet of a striker in front of goal. 2-1. Leite was slated by the crowd around us, but he recovered well. He's small, but quick off the line and his distribution is superb. Hopefully just nerves or wet gloves or something. We push on, Butler has a goal disallowed for offside, I was behind the goal so couldn't argue. We equalise shortly after, decent passing and Elliott whacks home across the keeper from about 12 yards. Ferriby are awarded a free kick. Andrews miscontrolled and then brought down the player who robbed him. Free kick hits the wall and isn't cleared. A bit of pinball ends with a side foot across Leite and a tap-in. Terrible. 3 awful goals conceded, but none of the defenders looking individually bad. Ferriby lead for a while. Fagan is superb, but lacks the killer touch. Fry and Wiseman are combining superbly, good crosses coming in, but Fry twice shoots tamely when he's made great space. A great move leads to Green smashing the post. Elliott is quiet, as is Dawson. With about 10 left, a through ball is chased down and the Ferriby no. 11 hits a superb chip over his own keeper into the top corner. 3-3. Late on, Fry gets down the right, crosses well and deep and Elliott laces one from about 20 yards into that bottom left hand corner again. 4-3 and a bit of pride salvaged :)

PT will be happy with the fitness, but not the defending on the whole. Midfield were quiet in both halfs. bad start for Sergio. Fagan is looking superb, if only he was as clinical as McPhee. No Big Ben, dunno why. Crowd was about 2000, tickets £8 for adults. Bradford are there tomorrow night, they are only £6 for them.
