First visit to Elland Road, would have been sweet to win! The ground is a bit naff, it's big but in artistic terms, pretty naff. Everything's well set out, easy to get to, lots of parking, plenty of grub.

We dominated for 30 minutes. Must have had 7 or 8 corners, but didn't make the best of them. Then Lynch lost control of a clearance on half way and allowed Blake a clear run on goal. Myhill saved, but it lifted the crowd and the Leeds side. It changed the game. Poor play from a poor player. Even after that, Fagan hit the bar and then Paynter, with Fagan in support wasted a good chance. The rest is history. Not particularly impressive defending for either goal, Boaz poor for the second.

Not that anyone should be down. Leeds are supposedly the 3rd best team in this division and we made them look ordinary for a long while. We lack a ruthless finisher and we lack a bit of know how, but we are starting to look like a decent outfit. Myhill and Andrews are easily Championship quality players. Cort, Collins, Dawson & Fagan are really growing into this division, while Wiseman (who looked very good at right back) and Paynter also look like they will make the step up.

Adam Pearson said on the radio pre-match that we'll be looking for 3 or 4 quality additions in the summer. With McPhee & Coles to return, that's exciting news.

Lynch was poor today. He's just not very good, at either end. Price worked hard, which isn't always the case, but he wasn't at the races. Elliott isn't making the step up. Indecisive and rarely involved. Andrews plays everything sensibly, just one stray pass. Delaney worked hard again, but didn't get near them enough after the opening spell.

A bit disappointed in the changes the gaffer made. 2-0 away from home doesn't seem the best time to go 4-5-1. Still, maybe he'd given up the ghost. Either way, we should have some fresh legs for Sheff United in Barmby, and also France if he's fit.

Ratings: Bo 7, Lynch 5 (Wiseman), Daws 6, Collins 6, Cort 7, Price 6 (Barmby), Elliott 5, Andrews 7, Delaney 6, Fagan 7 (Green), Paynter 6.

It's hard to believe that we just played a league game away at Elland Road and gave Leeds a good game. Pinch Me.
