Wouldn't call it a good game, thought the opposition spoiled it too much for that, but a decent game that was always interesting.

QPR were very dirty, lots of high elbows, feet left in and looking for a fight whenever they could. Shittu at the back is a man mountain, while Furlong up front was a disgrace. Speaking of disgraces, the morons in the North-East corner showed us up again. QPR fans chants of "Scum" were justified. On the pitch, the R's are a disgrace, and their long ball game isn't pretty either. Can't understand why you'd play that way when you consider that they have talented footballers in Bircham, Cook, Ainsworth, Rowlands, Bignot and Gallen.

QPR dominated the first half. We had a couple of fair chances: Cort headed wide, McPhee's shot from 8 yards deflected wide and McPhee hit the bar but was offside. Perhaps our best chance saw Green burst into the box after a great move and a QPR leg stuck out that caught him. Green was far too honest to go down, but he really should have because there was contact. Gallen missed a sitter for them and Cort produced a wonderful tackle to deny Furlong. Furlong was a handful. He'd clobbered Lynch off the pitch in the first minute causing him to hit the hoarding and leave on a stretcher.

We definitely had the second half and should have scored. Barmby, Elliott and Green disappeared and it became a game of hitting balls around the corner from the full backs for Fagan and McPhee to chase, which they did really well. Bo made a great save from Cook and we had a stack of corners each. McPhee had a good game against 2 big, big fellas. He was always a threat. Coles played really well at right back, sucked in on a couple of occasions, but hard and strong. Elliott and Barmby had a few fleeting moments, but didn't perform much. Our bench looked very weak, with only Fagan looking like he could change the game. All in all, a fair result, and a hard earned one against dirty opposition.

Ratings: Bo 8, Lynch (Delaney 6), Dawson 6, Cort 7, Coles 8, France 7 (Price), Elliott 6, Ashbee 6, Green 6, Barmby 6 (Fagan), McPhee 7.

Have to say, I'm not looking forward to Wolves. The quality of some of the QPR players was obvious, they were a constant threat and they are a mid-table side!
