Player Ratings: Hull City 4-1 Cardiff City

Last updated : 16 December 2006 By Andy Beill
Boaz Myhill (7) - Had no chance in saving the goal, but was otherwise unbeatable.

Sam Ricketts (7)

Andy Dawson (7)

Danny Coles (7) - No nonsense, put a boot through the ball when necessary.

Damien Delaney (7)

Dean Marney (8) - Went on a few great runs and showed some great technique. To dig the ball out of his feet and find the net with his weaker foot was great skill and hopefully it will give him the confidence to get amongst the goals again.

Ian Ashbee (8) - A few great challenges to stop the momentum of a few Cardiff attacks. Not without mistakes, but a full on Ashbee performance.

David Livermore (8) - Contender for man of the match. Totally committed performance, even after going into the book. Has good control and can keep the ball. Keeps our attacks going, as well as breaking up opposition play.

Steve McPhee (7) - Lively and added pace to our frontline to keep the Cardiff defence on their toes. The manner of his penalty miss was disappointing.

Nick Barmby (7) - Looks like he fits in this side.

Craig Fagan (8) - Everything you get from a good Craig Fagan performance, plus a well taken goal. Did brilliantly to win the penalty after fighting to keep the ball when blocked from getting a shot in, and the gesture to give the ball to McPhee was highly commendable… obviously not with hindsight!
