Player Ratings: Hull City 2-0 Burnley

Last updated : 30 December 2006 By Andy Beill
Boaz Myhill (8) - One or two moments of uncertainty, but otherwise very good. A couple of good saves after half time to prevent Burnley from getting back into it, and a superb reflex save in mid air from the shot deflected off Delaney.

Ryan France (7) - One of his best games in this position.

Andy Dawson (7) - Brilliant movement and cross for the Parkin chance.

Michael Turner (8) - Solid.

Damien Delaney (8) - Proves another person wrong every week with his performances at the back. Fully committed to this club. Was great to see him go charging forward into the box when he got the chance, though he wasn't picked out.

Dean Marney (8) - His best game so far for us. Although he usually works hard, something came of it today. Never backed out of a tackle, and was genuinely exciting when taking the ball forward. Great for him to get a goal too.

Ian Ashbee (7) - A couple of mistakes allowed Burnley chances they shouldn't have had, but otherwise a good performance.

David Livermore (7) - Good as usual. Adds real bite to our midfield whilst being able to use the ball as well.

Jon Parkin (7) - Misjudged a few passes and crosses early on but otherwise did well, and even had a good chance that the keeper was lucky to be in the right place to save.

Craig Fagan (8) - Caused Burnley no end of problems. Gave us everything we want from him without taking it too far. Unlucky to hit the bar instead of score.

Nick Barmby (8) - Worked tirelessly, chasing players back in his own half and managing to get the boot in to make the tackle. Today was all about that for him rather than the creative attacking side of his game (although he did win the penalty), and he was given a deserved standing ovation for his efforts.

Subs
Nicky Forster (6) - Missed two one-on-ones, but did well to get in the position to miss them.

Stuart Elliott (6) - Not on long enough to make an impact. Interesting that he played on the right though.

Nicky Featherstone (N/A) - Touched the ball once, maybe twice, but still nice for him to get on and make his debut.
