Player Ratings: Hull City 1-2 Leicester City

Last updated : 26 December 2006 By Andy Beill
Boaz Myhill (7)

Sam Ricketts (7)

Andy Dawson (7)

Danny Coles (6) - Should have been sent off for the foul in the first few minutes if the ref deemed it a free kick (though the linesman didn't). Was the last man for the challenge that did result in a red card so no complaints really.

Damien Delaney (7)

Ryan France (6)

David Livermore (8) - Threw himself into every challenge. After Ashbee moved into defence he was doing the work of two men.

Dean Marney (7) - Got stuck in and tried to play our forwards in with diagonal balls, a couple of which came off.

Ian Ashbee (6) - Played too many tight balls in midfield instead of trying to open up play. A couple of poor balls that didn't reach the full backs, and one slip when playing at centre back that almost let in Hammond - who he'd spent most of the game sitting on!

Craig Fagan (8) - Worked so hard to win all the balls played up field and to keep control of them, usually under pressure from two defenders. Excellent finish for the goal.

Michael Bridges (6)

Subs
Nicky Forster (6)

Jon Parkin (0) - Nowhere near match fit. This was evident after 2 minutes of coming on and he should have been taken off again when we went down to ten men as we were already carrying him. He wasn't breaking sweat, he seemed to treat it like his first reserve game back, not going in for challenges.
