Player Ratings: Hull City 1-2 Crystal Palace

Boaz Myhill (8) - Made some great saves, in particular the parry before the first goal and the challenge on Andy Johnson in the first half. Blameless for either goal. If I was Iain Dowie I'd be making a bid to get him to replace Kiraly.

Ryan France (5) - Terrible. Gave the ball away countless times in dangerous areas as he has done a lot recently when playing at right back. Crosses when getting forward were very poor. Get him out of this position - into what position I don't know - in a midfield three?

Mark Lynch (6) - Was targetted by Palace as a weak area and struggled, but playing out of position so hard to be too critical.

Leon Cort (5) - Another unconvincing display. Clueless when he gets the football other than to knock it on to someone in no better a position than he is. Unlucky not to score with a header, but Parkin can be the targetman at set pieces now. I'd have Danny Coles back in for him when fit.

Sam Collins (6) - Did alright, except for one occasion in the first half when he backed off and failed to mark Macken, who fortunately wasted the chance. We need to work on how to make his long throws a real threat.

Jason Price (6) - Unlucky not to get the ball in the net with a first half chance, although he was offside anyway. Didn't get at the full back though, and was always looking to play it inside or work with France instead.

Nick Barmby (7) - Reasonable performance and showed some good skill and imagination that nearly came off. Should have had a go when the space opened up for a first half chance but he passed to the offside Price instead. I'd have him in the team every week.

Damien Delaney (7) - Did his best playing in two different positions through the match that aren't his natural positions. Strange to play him though when we have two quality midfielders in Welsh and Woodhouse available.

Keith Andrews (6) - I like the look of him but he failed to do much today and was missing a couple of times when Palace attacked through the middle.

Craig Fagan (6) - Didn't really get into the game today other than a few times on the right flank - more so than supposedly natural wingers Price and France. Wouldn't be too surprised to see Duffy given a chance instead next time.

Jon Parkin (7) - Took his goal well. Used his strength well and played the ball sensibly (other than a wild shot in the first half). Palace's defenders won everything in the air though as they did at Selhurst Park. Possibly at fault for not picking up Hudson for the first goal?

Stuart Green (5) - Waste of space again. Made himself available for the ball whenever possible, but did nothing with it. Again, if he's not creating chances and putting good balls into the box, what is he in the team to do?

Darryl Duffy (6) - Didn't see as much of him as I'd have liked in his half an hour on the pitch. Seems quick and could threaten when going at defenders, but it didn't run for him today.

Stuart Elliott (6) - Unlucky with a half chance that went straight at Kiraly but wasn't in it otherwise.
