Player Ratings: Hull City 0-1 Luton Town

Last updated : 17 September 2005 By Andy Beill
Boaz Myhill (9) - A few dodgy kicks but countless world class saves. Had no chance with the goal blasted in from 6 yards out and no marking.

Danny Coles (N/A) - Game over after falling awkwardly, hopefully won't be out for too long.

Andy Dawson (5) - Could have cost us two goals after playing everyone onside for the disallowed goal in the first half and handling in his own area in the second half. Set pieces were poor.

Leon Cort (6) - Not at his best. Was one of those guilty for failing to mark properly for the goal.

Damien Delaney (6) - Reasonable performance but was part of a poor backline nonetheless.

Ryan France (7) - Created little out wide but was involved in a couple of moves down the middle and covered well defensively.

Stuart Elliott (5) - Played much of the game up front where he never looked like scoring. His only efforts at goal were a couple of speculative efforts from outside the area when he may have been better off passing. Was never really in the game.

John Welsh (6) - Glad to see he's thinking about getting the ball down now instead of heading it back into the air. Looks to put a foot in, but at the moment he is no Ashbee.

Stuart Green (6) - Another game where he's produced little. Set pieces poor. Unlucky with one first half shot.

Nick Barmby (6) - Played much of the game out wide. Ran his socks off and wouldn't have been able to finish the 90 minutes even if Taylor wanted him to. All that effort to little effect though.

Chris Brown (7) - Shame he couldn't have stayed on for the full match as he played well. Barmby doesn't seem a suitable match to partner him though.

Marc Joseph (6) - Not his worst game but was guilty for leaving Morgan unmarked as he flicked on for the goal, and so his mistake has cost us the game today. His long throws were not made better use of.

Craig Fagan (6) - Showed spirit but didn't have much effect.

Ben Burgess (6) - Woodhouse seemed a better option to bring on rather than a like for like change, although Brown was possibly tired. His only half-chance was a missed overhead kick. Otherwise, he wasn't in it.
