Myhill (8) - Very good. Didn't make any mistakes, caught every cross (under pressure from the likes of Furlong a couple of times), came to the edge and out of his box to clear a few times. Made the best save of the match too.

Lynch (N/A)- Shepherded the ball out well - that was about all his involvement for the afternoon!

Coles (7) - I thought he played well, despite being out of position. Looked like a good footballer, and coped better at full back than I could imagine Cort, Delaney or Joseph would.

Delaney (6) - Looked nervous, not comfortable with the ball. Played it safe whenever it came to him, putting it into touch or a backward pass. Safety paid off though.

Cort (7) - Likewise, was solid and didn't take chances when he had the ball.

Dawson (6) - Should have done better with the free kick. Put in a great first time cross from deep which France wasted. Don't recall him having too much trouble defending.

France (6) - I'm still in no way convinced that he's a winger. I don't recall him going on any runs down the line or crossing the ball - isn't that what wingers are for? He also bottled the cross from Dawson. He either had to hit it first time (which admittedly would have been an amazing goal), or kill the bounce to lay it off to Fagan. Instead his first touch saw the ball still bounce, and his lay off was far to slow and weak so was easily cleared.

Green (7) - Very glad to see him play, he's got the technique and ball retention skills required in this division. He didn't have much freedom to get forwards though due to the nature of the game. I was pleased with his discipline and willingness to track back - one occassion in particular when a centre back had been pulled out and he did a very commendable job in blocking Furlong from getting into a position.

Ashbee (8) - Very impressed with him today, contender for man of the match. Broke up a few attacks, got his foot in, and played the simple balls to keep possession. He also kept his head well when some may have expected him to get into a few battles, but he was breaking them up and keeping his teammates out of trouble. He'll need to show he can play like this week in week out though.

Elliott (6) - Didn't have the chances he was used to last season. The opposition seemed wary and had two players in front of him when the ball came to him.

McPhee (7) - Again, he usually had two defenders on him when he got the ball. Used his pace and looked most likely to score of any City player but it wasn't going to happen today.

Barmby (6) - Didn't have much of a chance in this one. The game was more suited to Ben Burgess.

Fagan (7) - Fired up. Probably a good thing he didn't start as he'd have been sent off within 90 minutes, but he used his pace and agression to cause problems against the defenders struggling with fatigue and knocks.

Price (6) - Wasn't really involved.
