North Ferriby United 1-4 Hull City

Yeah, Saturday afternoon's are bright again! Nice sunny afternoon at Ferriby. Not a lot to say really, was a useful run out.

1st half:
4-4-2: Duke; Doyle, Turner, Delaney, Dawson; Garcia, Elliott, Ashbee, Hughes; Barmby, Windass.

Passed the ball really well. Didn't really exert themselves, just used the ball sensibly and reduced Ferriby to one chance from a free-kick. Quite poor defending if truth be told, but otherwise very solid. Impressed with Garcia, lots of nice touches. Hughes settled slowly, but looked good once he had. Deano scored the goal, good header from a left wing cross. Deano (2), Barmby, Elliott and Hughes missed good chances to improve the scoreline.

H-T: 0-1

2nd half:
4-3-3: Myhill; #2 (Frizzell), Ricketts, Coles, Plummer; Marney, #4 (Atkinson), Wilkinson; Featherstone, McPhee, Bridges.

Bridges and McPhee combined nicely. Ferriby equalised from a Coles O.G, not that he could've done anything about it. Bridges scored a superb second and then hit a beautiful cross that McPhee headed home. McPhee scored again, out muscling a defender to latch onto a long ball and finish low. Quite a patchy second half, really, although better in terms of goal return. Bridges looked sharp, tried a few really cute passes that didn't quite come off and looked menacing. Marney limped off with about 10 to play, looked like he'd pulled something.

F-T: 1-4
