York Drop Into Bottom Two

Last updated : 04 April 2004 By Andy Beill
Macclesfield go 22nd because of their superior goal difference over York, although today's losers do have a game in hand.

Carlisle are 5 points behind them after coming back from a goal down at Swansea yesterday to win 2-1. Rochdale are still in the thick of it though after a 3-0 defeat at home to Lincoln.

Darlington are now four games without a win and are just a point above the relegation zone. They lost 1-0 at Boston yesterday with Steve Melton scoring his first Pilgrims goal.

At the top of the table, Doncaster's title hopes are back on track after a 3-1 win over Bury. Hull City, Huddersfield and Torquay could all only manage draws. Oxford slip to 6th after losing 2-1 at Northampton, with Lincoln replacing them in 5th spot.
