After a 0-0 draw with Mansfield at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, the Terriers won through by virtue of a penalty shoot-out.

They join Doncaster Rovers, Hull City and Torquay United going up to Division Two, or the "Coca-Cola First Division" as it may be titled next season.

Bristol City remain in Division Two following their defeat to Brighton in yesterday's Division Two Play-off Final, as do the semi-final losers Swindon and Hartlepool.

Dropping down from Division One are Walsall, Bradford and Wimbledon.

Therefore the 24 teams in Division Two in 2004/05 will be:
Barnsley, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Bradford City, Brentford, Bristol City, Chesterfield, Colchester United, Doncaster Rovers, Hartlepool United, Huddersfield Town, Hull City, Luton Town, Oldham Athletic, Peterborough United, Port Vale, Sheffield Wednesday, Stockport County, Swindon Town, Torquay United, Tranmere Rovers, Walsall, Wimbledon, Wrexham.
