The Terriers are currently third in Division Three, and have boosted their chances of staying in an automatic promotion spot by signing Abbott on a permanent deal.

He's scored 4 goals in 6 games while on loan to them this last month, persuading club owner Ken Davy to splash out and pay an undisclosed six-figure fee to keep the Polish Under-21 international at the McAlpine Stadium.

The forward will be in the side for their game against Rochdale tomorrow evening as Town go for their 12th win since Christmas.

Elsewhere in Division Three, Northampton's former Hull City forward Lawrie Dudfield has signed for Southend until the end of the season after impressing in a loan spell.
