Huddersfield Town boss Peter Jackson has strengthend his side as he looks to earn an automatic promotion place by signing Blackburn Rovers midfielder Gary Harkins on a month's loan.

Leyton Orient boss Martin Ling has swooped to sign Andy Scott after the 31-year-old striker was released from his contract at Oxford United. Scott has signed a one-year deal at Gresty Road.

Torquay United have boosted their squad ahead of the promotion race by signing West Ham United midfielder Daryl McMahon on loan. The 21-year-old will spend one month with the Gulls as boss Leroy Rosenier looks to earn one of the three automatic promotion places.

Northampton Town have signed former Aston Villa midfielder Ryan Amoo. The 20-year-old has signed a 15-month contract at the Sixfields Stadium after failing to secure a place in David Leary's first team plans at Villa Park.

Macclesfield Town duo Colin Little and Karl Munroe have been placed on the transfer list at their own request. Both players are out-of-contract in the summer and have been given a chance to find a new club.

Boston United manager Steve Evans has continued his signing spree by completing deals for Lincoln City's Dene Cropper and West Ham United midfielder David Noble. 21-year-old Cropper has joined the club until the end of the season while 22-year-old Noble has initially signed a similar deal after impressing during a loan spell at the club but the club are hoping to offer the former Arsenal trainee a two-year deal in the summer.

Rochdale boss Steve Parkin has allowed defender Richard Hill to join Conference side Morecambe on loan for the remainder of the season.

Oxford United chairman Firoz Kassam has installed Graham Rix as temporary manager after it was reported that Ian Atkins would be taking the vacant managerial job at Bristol Rovers.

Yeovil Town have allowed Chris Giles to join Conference side Aldershot on a free transfer. The 21-year-old can operate as a forward or defender and has signed a 14-month deal with the club.

Bristol Rovers have appointed former Bristol City boss Russell Osman and Kevan Broadhurst as joint caretaker managers in their bid to avoid relegation from the Football League.

Lincoln City boss Keith Alexander has taken three players on trial as he looks to bolster his squad in an attempt to secure a play-off berth. Striker Aron Wilford has just been released from Division Three rivals York City and another forward, Michael Frew comes from non-league side Yaxley while defender lewis Hamilton has come in from First Division side Derby County. All three players will feature in the Imps' reserve team fixture against Newcastle United tonight.

There's confusion over the appointment of Claude Le Roy as new manager at Cambridge United. The former Cameroon coach denied signing after chairman Gary Harwood revealed he was being installed as manager at the Abbey Stadium. The club now say that there's a verbal agreement with Le Roy.
