Southend United have parted company with midfielder Jamie Fullarton after agreeing to terminate his contract. Meanwhile, Steve Tilson has been given the manager's job until the end of the season after a successful spell as caretaker boss at Roots Hall. Tilson has guided the club away from the relegation places and also into the LDV Vans Trophy Final.

Darlington boss David Hodgson has taken Argentinean striker Leandro Scartascini on trial until the end of the season. The 19-year-old could earn a permanent deal at the Reynolds Arena if he impresses during his time at the club. Hodgson has also seen a possible loan deal for Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham fall through.

Scunthorpe United boss Brian Laws has secured the signature of Cleveland Taylor until the end of the season. The midfielder arrives on a free transfer from Premiership side Bolton and has just finished a two-month loan spell at Glanford Park.

Bristol Rovers caretaker boss Phil Bater has announced that he would like the manager's job on a permanent basis. Meanwhile, the Pirates could complete the season without the services of Wayne Carlisle after it looks like the winger requires knee surgery.

Rochdale boss Steve Parkin has signed Manchester City midfielder Willo Flood on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old made his debut in last night's 1-1 draw against promotion chasing Huddersfield town. Parkin is also set to complete a deal with former Boston United assistant manager Neil Redfearn that will see the midfielder join the club on non-contract terms.

Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Preston North End striker Pawel Abbott after agreeing an undisclosed six-figure fee with the First Division outfit. Abbott has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Terriers after initially joining them on loan as a replacement for Jon Stead who left for Blackburn in the January transfer window.

Oxford United manager Ian Atkins has swooped to sign striker Richard Walker in a bid to save his side's faltering promotion hopes. Walker has joined from Second Division Blackpool on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Torquay United chairman Mike Bateson is keen to keep star striker David Graham at the club amid reports that a number of clubs are interested in signing the Scot.

Swansea City boss Brian Flynn is planning to launch an appeal over Shaun Byrne's red card in the 2-1 defeat at Macclesfield last night. The on-loan defender was dismissed for violent conduct.

Kidderminster Harriers have parted company with midfielder Robert Betts by mutual consent. The 22-year-old only signed for the club last season but has seen his first team opportunities limited since the return of manager Jan Molby.
