Lincoln City boss Keith Alexander is set to complete the signing of Scunthorpe United defender Jamie McCombe on a free transfer. The 21-year-old has moved after the Football League stepped in and ruled that he could leave Glanford Park once a seven day notice period was seen out. Alexander has also allowed striker Rory May to join Conference side Halifax Town on a month's loan.

Cardiff City have complete the loan signing of York City midfielder Lee Bullock in a deal that will see the Minstermen earn £75,000. The 22-year-old has been a long term target of Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence and recently spent four days on trial at the Welsh club. If Bullock impresses during the remainder of the season he will be offered a permanent deal at the club.

Peter Duffield has joined Carlisle United on a month's loan from Boston United. The 34-year-old striker made a scoring debut in the midweek win over Huddersfield Town at Brunton Park.

Bury boss Graham Barrow has extended the loan deal of Stockport County defender Dave Challinor for a third month.

Cambridge United boss John Taylor has extended the loan deal of striker Jermaine Easter from Second Division Hartlepool United for a further month. Easter has made six appearances since joining the club but is still waiting for his first goal.

Bristol Rovers defender Anwar Uddin has joined Conference side Telford United on loan for a month after falling out of favour at the club. The Pirates have also received good news after being told Danny Boxall's knee injury was not as serious as first thought.

Rochdale boss Steve Parkin has been handed a boost with the news that Bolton defender Danny Livesey has agreed to extend his loan stay at Spotland. The centre-back has put in some superb performances since joining the club and has extended his stay by a further month.

Stoke City striker Chris Greenacre has rejected an offer to return to his former club - Mansfield Town - on loan until the end of the season.

Southend United have allowed on-loan striker Lawrie Dudfield to return to Northampton Town after his one month loan spell at the club expired. During his time at Roots Hall, the ex-Tiger played in seven games scoring three goals.

Oxford United boss Ian Atkins is believed to be interested in signing striker Gavin Gordon from First Division Cardiff City.

Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson will be without the services of Hugo Rodrigues for the game against Bristol Rovers after the defender broke his nose in the 3-0 defeat at Scunthorpe.

Swansea City boss Brian Flynn will be without striker Lee Trundle for the game against Southend after he failed to recover from a hamstring injury in time.
