Bury have terminated the contract of player-manger Andy Preece by mutual consent. Preece took charge at the club in May 2000 and his departure is a cost cutting exercise instead of a reflection on his performance during his three and half year reign at Gigg Lane. Graham Barrow has been appointed caretaker manager by the club and will be in the role for the foreseeable future.

Lincoln City chairman Rob Bradley has denied reports that former England manager Graham is set to take the managerial role at Sincil Bank on a temporary basis. Assistant manager Gary Simpson has been in charge at the club since Imps boss Keith Alexander was rushed to hospital for emergency brain surgery just over a month ago.

Boston United forward Richard Logan has stated his wish to make his loan move to Second Division Peterborough United permanent. Logan returns to York Street this week after spending three months with Barry Fry's side where he scored

Leyton Orient goalkeeper Glenn Morris will miss two Division Three games after an appeal over his red card during the 0-0 draw with Cheltenham Town failed.

Torquay United striker David Graham is now wanted by Peterborough United boss Barry Fry. Graham is the top scorer at Plainmoor this season with 11 goals so far and is seen as a perfect replacement for former peterborough striker Leon McKenzie who left the Second Division outfit to join Norwich City for a fee of around £325,000 last week.

Huddersfield Town manager Peter Jackson has revealed that his side's all-black away kit is not to blame for the poor form shown in away outings this season. Town have only won once on their travels this season and speaking to the club website Jackson said: "I can't put my finger on it, but you certainly can't blame the black kit."

Cheltenham Town midfielder John Finigan has given his boss John Ward a boost by saying that he hopes to delay an ankle operation to help fight the threat of relegation.

Macclesfield Town have appointed John Askey as their new manager on a permanent basis. Askey - in charge since David Moss was sacked in October - lost only once in seven games since taking over initially declined the job offer but was offered the job again after his side's convincing 4-0 victory over Huddersfield town last weekend.

Northampton Town have sent young midfielder Aaron Cavill on loan to non-league Aylesbury United. The 18-year old teams up with former Cobblers boss Kevin Wilson - who is currently in charge of the Ryman League Premier Division outfit.

Bristol Rovers have released assistant manager John Still due to financial problems at the club. Still joined Rovers 18 months ago and is said to understand the decision that has been made about his position at the club.

Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson has lost the services of striker Jake Edwards for the FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool. Edwards faces a three-match ban after receiving a red card in the 1-0 win at Bristol Rovers last weekend. However, the club may appeal against the dismissal after reviewing video evidence.

Rochdale boss Alan Buckley has extended the loan deal of striker Andy Bishop for another month. Buckley has also let midfielder Lee Duffy join non-league Rossendale United on a month's loan.

Kidderminster Harriers director of football Jan Molby is hoping to hear this week whether he has been successful in a bid to sign Adam Murray. Murray - who was released by Derby County earlier this season - is a free agent and is said to have plenty of offers to think about.

Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler is looking for a forward to replace Marlon King after he left to join First Division rivals Nottingham Forest last month.
