Boston United have signed Chris Hogg and Sam Morrow from First Division side Ipswich Town. Both players have signed month long loan deals at York Street but Hogg has already spent time on loan with the club this season.

York City player-boss Chris Bass has extended the loan deals of strikers Jon Shaw and Browne. Shaw - on loan from Sheffield Wednesday - has agreed to stay for another two months whilst Browne has increased his stay at the club by another four weeks. The club have also agreed a deal with defender Richard Hope that will see him stay until the end of the season.

Oxford United have agreed a new contract with youngster Jamie Brooks and then sent him out on loan at Maidenhead. Brooks has signed a new one year deal at the Kassam Stadium but has joined the Ryman League side on loan for a month in a bid to gain match fitness.

Kidderminster Harriers director of football Jan Molby has made two signings as he looks to avoid relegation. Lee Jenkins has joined the club on a free transfer from Third Division rivals Swansea City whilst striker Scott Rickards has left Tamworth to join up with Molby. It was Molby that handed Jenkins his first team debut as a 17-year old during his time in charge at Swansea. Rickards has joined the club for an undisclosed fee after a deal was agreed with the Conference side.

Cheltenham Town manager John Ward has made his first signing since taking charge at Whaddon Road. Brian Wilson has signed on a month's long loan deal from First Division side Stoke City. The 20-year old defender has only made one appearance for Stoke this season but is very highly rated by his club.

Southend United have agreed a new contract with promising youngster Michael Kightly. Kightly - only 17-years old - has signed an 18-month contract at Roots Hall after making his debut for the club at the end of last season.

Doncaster Rovers boss Dave Penney has signed Aston Villa winger Peter Hynes on a month's loan.

Macclesfield Town caretaker manager John Askey has rejected an offer that would have seen him stay as boss until the end of the season. Askey is said to be unhappy at the terms of the deal that was offered to him.

Ex-Carlisle United manager Roddy Collins has claimed the decision to sack him was a big mistake. Collins was sacked back in August after a six game losing run saw his side sitting at the bottom of the league.

Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Ian Gray has had his hopes of a quick return to action dashed. Gray - out since breaking his hand in the FA Cup defeat to Accrington Stanley - had his plaster removed last Thursday but was still suffering pain in his finger which led to the former Rotherham stopper having exploratory surgery. It is not clear how long the 28-year old will be out of action for.

Scunthorpe United have been handed an away tie against Sheffield Wednesday in the semi-finals draw for the LDV Vans Trophy Northern section. The Iron also face Wednesday in an FA Cup second round replay.

Leyton Orient chairman Barry Hearn has signalled his intentions to give whoever becomes the new manager at Brisbane Road the chance to make an impression on the club by awarding him a contract until the end of next season.

Lincoln City's LDV Vans Trophy match against Halifax Town will now be played on Tuesday 16 December. The original match was due to be played last Tuesday but was called off due to heavy fog. The winners of the tie will play Blackpool in the semi-final of the Northern section.
