It's been a busy week at Darlington as new boss David Hodgson tries to get a team together that can avoid relegation. Hodgson has brought in two players on month long loan deals whilst sending three players out of the club. 18-year old goalkeeper Ross Turnbull has arrived from Premiership outfit Middlesbrough whilst Craig James has joined from Sunderland. Going the other way are striker Glen Robson, only signed in the summer by previous manager Mick Tait, who has been released and has returned to his former club Durham City. Alan Morgan has also been sent back to Blackburn Rovers after a one-month loan spell with the Quakers whilst Mark Sheeran has left the Reynolds Arena to join non-league side Whitby Town on loan.

Mansfield Town's injury Left Back Adam Eaton played his first 55 minutes of action this season in the 3-0 reserve team defeat against Lincoln City. Eaton has been suffering with the injury since the end of last season and has been having numerous injections and operations in order to get him self ready for the first team once again. Meanwhile, the Stags manager Keith Curle and Chairman Keith Haslam will appear before an FA Panel to defend the club against a charge of failing to control its players during a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea back in August.

Macclesfield Town have solved a keeper problem with the signing of Luton's Nathan Abbey on a non-contract basis because they only have one senior keeper.

York City player boss Chris Brass bolstered his attacking options with the signings of Gary Browne and Jon Shaw. Browne joins on a one-month deal after he had been training with club. The Northern Ireland Under-21 International is a product of Manchester City's youth set-up but was released last summer. Shaw has left Sheffield Wednesday to join York on a month-long loan deal in a bid to find first team football.

David Graham has been linked with a move to Second Division front-runners Plymouth Argyle. The Torquay United striker has been in fine form this season and bagged a brace in the 3-1 victory over Cheltenham on the weekend.

Doncaster Rovers manager Dave Penney has signed Irish Under-21 international JJ Melligan on loan. The young midfielder had previously been on loan at Kidderminster but when former Tigers manager Jan Molby returned to take charge at Aggborough, Melligan was sent back to Wolves because Molby did not feel he was in his plans.

Lee Steele returned to the training pitch last week. The Oxford United striker had been out since March when a cruciate injury finished his season early but Steele is optimistic that he will soon be back in action.

Huddersfield Town midfielder Jon Worthington's appeal against his red card during the FA Cup defeat at Accrington Stanley rejected. Worthington will now miss the league games against Cheltenham Town, Macclesfield Town and Oxford United. Town boss Peter Jackson has completed the signing of Lee Fowler, who had been on loan at club, from Coventry City on a contract until June 2006.

Colin Calderwood has added some experience to his struggling Northampton Town side with the signing of Des Lyttle. The former Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion defender has joined on an initial 3-month deal.

Boston United have swooped to sign Hartlepool United striker Adam Boyd on a month's loan. Boyd - a product of the youth system at Victoria Park - has been unable to find the net in eight appearances this season at the Second Division side.

Leyton Orient manager Ian Culverhouse has sent Ross Wareham and Matthew Game to Braintree Town on loan deals. David Culverhouse - Ian's brother - manages the Ryman League side.

Yeovil Town have lost the services of Roy O'Brien after the midfielder had to have an operation on a long-standing ankle problem. The operation is likely to keep O'Brien on the sidelines for a couple of months. Town manager Gary Johnson has also sent Andy Lindegaard out on a month's loan to Weymouth in a bid to gain some much needed match fitness after the player has missed out on the action following a long term heel injury.
