Attendances On The Up

383,265 people made it to matches on the opening day of the 2004/05 season, averaging 10,646 per match. This is 9% up on last year, and the most since 1965/66.

This was helped by big attendances at Leeds United (30,459) and Leicester (30,231) in the Championship and Sheffield Wednesday (24,138) and Hull City (17,569) in League One.
