The two 19-year-olds, who both came through Hull City's youth system, have signed contract extensions that will keep them at the club until the summer of 2007. They will be hoping to establish themselves as members of the first team squad in those two seasons after only making a handful of league appearances between themselves so far.

Wiseman seems the closest to first team action of the pair. The defender has played five league games for the club, as well as playing twice in cup competitions and two games on loan for Boston last season. Midfielder Fry, meanwhile, made his debut 18 months earlier in the LDV Trophy, but didn't make a league appearance until the final game of last season.

Peter Taylor rates their potential though, and they have both received international recognition. Wiseman played for Taylor's England squad at the Toulon Tournament this summer, while Fry is set to make his Under-20 debut in just under two weeks time when England go to Russia.
