Peterborough United have revealed that an offer was made by City for their midfielder Curtis Woodhouse, but it's been rejected. Details of the bid weren't disclosed.

The former Sheffield United trainee only joined Peterborough in October on a free transfer from Birmingham, who had previously shelled out £1million to sign him from the Blades. In this his first season at London Road the 24-year-old won the Posh's Player of the Year award, and with two years still to run on his contract they are reluctant to let him go.

City are expected to make an increased offer for the Driffield-born player.
