Walters To Start

Last updated : 22 February 2004 By Andy Beill
Top scorer Danny Allsopp has been ruled out with a groin muscle problem, and Peter Taylor has confirmed the Australian will be on the bench at best. Walters is confirmed to make his first start since returning to the club.

The left-back position is Taylor's biggest worry. He's without first choice Andy Dawson for at least five weeks so will choose between Andy Holt, Steve Burton and Nathan Peat for a call-up. Damien Delaney is also an option, but he's expected to partner Marc Joseph in central defence to take care of Torquay's 14-goal striker David Graham. Fellow centre half Justin Whittle - who made the starting line-up last week - has a hamstring injury and is doubtful to be in the squad.

With Ian Ashbee missing once more with an achilles injury, Lee Marshall is set to switch to central midfield. Alton Thelwell is available after recovering from a groin injury so could start at right-back, while Richard Hinds is also in contention.

Stuart Green is expected to parter Marshall in the centre of the park, with Ryan France coming into the side on right-wing in Jason Price's continued absence.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Myhill; Thelwell, Joseph, Delaney, Holt; France, Green, Marshall, Elliott; Walters, Burgess.
Subs from: Musselwhite, Burton, Hinds, Peat, Melton, Forrester, Allsopp.
