Tigers Linked With Grimsby Star

The 27-year-old has a £45,000 minimum fee release clause in his contract, prompting interest from Barnsley. A move to Oakwell looked set to go through, but the Grimsby Telegraph reports Derby County and Hull City are also in the hunt to sign the forward.

However, Mariners chairman Peter Furneaux says that the player's going nowhere: "He's said he doesn't want to go and we certainly don't want him to leave. That's how it stands. Nothing has changed over the weekend and he's training as normal."

Tigers boss Peter Taylor has been looking at various forwards over the season, but with Ben Burgess, Danny Allsopp and Jamie Forrester all fully fit he wasn't thought to be looking to add to the squad.
