Boston 2 - 2 Huddersfield (Att: 3462)
Defender Paul Ellender earned Boston a point with a late equaliser after Huddersfield had themselves come from behind to take the lead. Well-travelled Neil Redfearn opened the scoring for Boston, Jon Stead equalised for the Yorkshire side before Ian Hughes put them in the lead. Ellender's 25-yard volley saw both sides take a point home.

Bristol R 0 - 0 Rochdale (Att: 7575)
The Pirates had Adam Barrett sent off after two first half bookings, but created the better chances in this stalemate at the Memorial Ground. Paul Tait twice tested Matthew Gilks in the Dale goal, but the visitors rarely threatened despite having the extra man advantage.

Bury 2 - 3 Scunthorpe (Att: 2761)
The Iron made it two wins out of three for the season with this narrow victory over Bury. Steve Torpey scored his first competitive goal since New Year's Day just before the break and struck again five minutes after the break after Chris Porter had equalised for the Shakers. Peter Beagrie extended Scunthorpe's lead to two goals, and a 76th minute goal from Bury player-manager was no more than a consolation strike for Bury who remain pointless.

Cambridge 3 - 1 Macclesfield (Att: 3089)
Martin Carruthers scored his first goal for Macclesfield after walking out on Scunthorpe during the close season, but his equalising goal only saw the Silkmen on level terms for two minutes. Daniel Chillingworth had given Cambridge the lead and responded to Carruthers' strike with his second of the match. Alex Revell added a third two minutes from time.

Cheltenham 3 - 4 Swansea (Att: 4660)
A hat-trick from Lee Trundle saw Swansea fight back from 3-1 down to take all three points with a last minute goal. Cheltenham had taken a two goal lead thanks to goals from Bertrand Cozic and Grant McCann before Thomas pulled one back for the Swans. McCann added a third for the Robins before Trundle stepped up to reverse the defecit.

Darlington 0 - 2 Kidderminster (Att: 11600)
Darlo set a new club record attendance with today's visit of Kidderminster, but they did little to encourage the 11600 in the shiny new Reynold's Arena to return again. Second half goals from Williams and Bishop saw the Harriers spoil the party on Darlo's big day.

Doncaster 2 - 0 Southend (Att: 5592)
Donny continued their strong start to the season with a goal in each half to beat the Shrimpers. Steve Foster opened the scoring for Rovers, with Paul Green heading home the second shortly after the break.

Mansfield 1 - 1 Leyton Orient (Att: 3920)
Orient avoided ending the day pointless with a last minute equaliser from Gary Alexander. Mansfield had taken the lead 1 minute in when Luke Dimech was presented with an easy tap in from six yards out into an empty net. David Hunt had come close to equalising for the Londoners, but saw his rocketed shot come bouncing off the inside of the post.

Oxford 2 - 1 Hull City (Att: 6618)
Steve Basham's double strike saw the U's take a two goal lead into the break, but despite Julian Alsop being red carded on the hour mark following a challenge on Paul Musselwhite, the Tigers could only manage to pull one back through Danny Allsopp.

Torquay 1 - 0 Lincoln (Att: 2920)
Defender Matt Hockley struck in the 89th minute to seal a win for the Gulls, after a match in which they were had been frustrated by slack finishing and bad luck.

Yeovil 3 - 0 Carlisle (Att: 6347)
The first ever Football League game at Huish Park saw the Glovers comfortably outclass the North Cumbrians and take themselves to the top of the table. Kevin Gall scored in the fourth minute, and added a second in the 18th. Former Scunthorpe striker Kirk Jackson, top scorer in the Football Conference last season, completed the scoring ten minutes from time.

York 1 - 0 Northampton (Att: 3870)
They say that money doesn't prove success, and that was proven at Bootham Crescent as cash-starved York beat flush Northampton. Player-Assistant manager Lee Nogan fired home just before the break, and some desperate defending saw the Minstermen hold on until the final whistle to maintain a 100 per cent league record.
