Bury 1-0 Northampton Town (attendance: 2,683)
Joe O'Neill headed in the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute, and Bury held on to claim their 4th successive league win.

Cheltenham Town 2-1 Carlisle United (attendance: 3,414)
Carlisle player-manager Paul Simpson gave his side the lead after 19 minutes, but goals either side of half time from Bob Taylor (33 & 50) confined the visitors to yet another defeat.

Doncaster Rovers 3-0 Boston United (attendance: 5,211)
Doncaster's loan star Chris Brown headed them in front from 6 yards out with 31 minutes on the clock. He got his second in the 54th minute, and JJ Melligan headed in the third at the back post just moments later to seal the win and move them up to 3rd.

Hull City 0-0 Yeovil Town (attendance: 14,367)
The Tigers peppered the Yeovil goal for 90 minutes but none of their 16 shots could find a way in as Yeovil worked hard to take home a point. They slip to 2nd place after almost 2 months at the top.

Kidderminster Harriers 1-2 Torquay United (attendance: 2,725)
Kevin Wills (7) gave Torquay an early lead, only for Danny Williams to equalise 5 minutes later. But Wills struck again from David Graham's setup in the 58th minute, and 2-1 is how it stayed.

Leyton Orient 2-2 York City (attendance: 3,593)
Justin Miller fired in from the edge of the box after only 3 minutes, and after Mark Ovendale tipped Gary Alexander's header onto the post, Lee Thorpe followed it in to make it 2-0 10 minutes before half time. Darren Edmondson pulled one back for York just before the hour mark with a classy chip, and Steve Brackstone fired in an equaliser from 18 yards out 5 minutes later.

Lincoln City 3-1 Bristol Rovers (attendance: 3,882)
Simon Yeo headed the hosts in front after 11 minutes, but Wayne Carlisle equalised 7 minutes later. Ben Futcher capitalised when Rovers goalkeeper Kevin Miller dropped a 56th minute corner, and Gary Fletcher sealed the win 3 minutes from time with a close-range header.

Mansfield Town 3-3 Huddersfield Town (attendance: 5,828)
Stags keeper Kevin Pilkington gifted the opener to Danny Schofield after 15 minutes, aand Jon Stead made it 2-0 after tricking Pilkington with a dummy before finishing. However, Rhys Day got the home side back in it seconds before half time, squeezing a header in off the post from a corner, and David Artell levelled in the 62nd minute with a shot on the turn. The visitors regained their lead a minute later thanks to Stead's header, but Craig Disley saved a point for Mansfield in the 90th minute from close range.

Oxford United 3-1 Macclesfield Town (attendance: 6,676)
Chris Priest's 4th minute goal for Macclesfield was a false dawn as Julian Alsop (29), James Hunt (45) and Paul Wanless (70) went on to earn Oxford the win, which sends them to the top of the league.

Scunthorpe United 4-0 Cambridge United (attendance: 3,397)
Paul Hayes got Scunthorpe on their way in the 13th minute, and a Steve MacLean hat-trick completed an efficient thrashing of Cambridge. The forward on loan from Rangers now has 8 goals from his last 5 games, and 17 since the start of the season.

Southend United 4-0 Rochdale (attendance: 3,169)
Tes Bramble (34 & 36) scored twice in quick succession, and Jimmy Corbett made it 3-0 from the penalty spot midway through the second half. 'Dale had Sean McClare sent off 5 minutes from time before Leon Constantaine completed the scoring in the 90th minute.

Swansea City 1-0 Darlington (attendance: 5,651)
Hotshot Lee Trundle scored the only goal with a spectacular overhead kick 4 minutes before half time.

Northampton Town 2-1 Swansea City (attendance: 4,010)
Richard Walker headed the home side in front just before half time, but Leon Britton restored parity shortly after the break. Martin Smith put the Cobblers back in the lead in the 58th minute to no reply from the visitors.
