Last updated : 16 November 2003 By Andy Beill
Boston United 3-0 Leyton Orient (attendance: 2,619)
After cup disappointments, Boston were back on track with their league form. Graeme Jones (24) put them ahead from long range, before Neil Redfearn (82 & 86) secured the win with two late strikes.

Bristol Rovers 1-2 Bury (attendance: 7,019)
Lewis Haldane (51) scored for the hosts early in the second half, but an own goal from Adam Barrett restored parity. Joe O'Neill stole it for Bury with an injury time bicycle kick.

Cambridge United 1-1 Oxford United (attendance: 4,430)
Mark Rawle saved a point for the visitors in stoppage time after Andrew Duncan (21) had opened for Cambridge midway through the first half. Oxford are now one point off the top.

Carlisle United 0-2 Mansfield Town (attendance: 4,154)
Wayne Corden (54) and Junior Mendes (63) move the Stags up to 2nd, confining Carlisle to a club record 9th successive defeat.

Darlington 0-0 Lincoln City (attendance: 4,601)
The Quakers ended a string of 8 straight defeats in all competitions with a deserved draw against Lincoln.

Huddersfield Town 3-1 Hull City (attendance: 13,893)
Disastrous defending left Hull City humiliated in front of the biggest crowd of the day as West Yorkshire met East. A mix-up between goalkeeper Alan Fettis and defender Marc Joseph gifted Jon Stead (32) an open goal for the first. Richard Hinds' slip allowed Andy Booth to double the lead 4 minutes before half time, and more woeful defending saw Danny Schofield add a third in the 80th minute. Jamie Forrester came off the bench to score a consolation goal in stoppage time.

Macclesfield Town 2-2 Scunthorpe United (attendance: 2,205)
Peter Beagrie's controversially retaken free kick gave Scunthorpe a 15th minute lead, but Danny Whitaker (38) equalised before half time. Steve MacLean restored the Iron's lead with his 12th league goal of the season 10 minutes after the break, but they were denied the full three points in harsh circumstances. The referee over-ruled his assistant who flagged for the ball going out of play, and as the Scunthorpe players stopped for the throw-in, Macclesfield carried on and Matthew Tipton scored to seal a late point.

Rochdale 0-1 Kidderminster Harriers (attendance: 2,498)
John Williams set up Matt Gadsby (35) for the only goal of the game as Jan Molby looks to be getting his Kidderminster side back on track.

Torquay United 3-1 Cheltenham Town (attendance: 2,653)
Damien Spencer's 56th minute strike sandwiched two second half David Graham goals (51 & 68), before the Torquay hotshot set up Alex Russell to secure the win 4 minutes from time.

Yeovil Town 4-0 Southend United (attendance: 5,248)
Dubutant Lee Elam opened after 33 minutes, and Darren Way (40) and Lee Johnson (43) put Yeovil in the driving seat at half time. Johnson (56) scored another from the penalty spot, with Neil Jenkins sent off for Southend.

York City 1-0 Doncaster Rovers (attendance: 5,942)
Doncaster missed their chance to go top as York ended their six-match winning streak. Darren Dunning did it with a penalty on the hour mark - his first ever goal for the Minstermen.
