Cambridge claimed their first win in six thanks to second half strikes from John Turner (68) and Justin Walker (77).
Bury 0-4 Oxford United (attendance: 2,930)
Oxford were clear winners in this one and close the gap to two points behind leaders Hull City. Dean Whitehead got them on their way in the 29th minute, and got his second in the 79th. Two goals from Steve Basham in the space of a minute completed the romp.
Carlisle United 0-1 Macclesfield Town (attendance: 4,366)
A Matthew Tipton free kick midway through the second half was the difference between these two struggling sides. Macclesfield's third win of the season moves them up to 18th, while Carlisle are still stranded at the bottom with just 5 points to their name, and have now lost their last 5 games.
Cheltenham Town 0-2 Rochdale (attendance: 3,105)
Kevin Townson (31) and Leo Bertos (85) confine Cheltenham to their 7th defeat of the season, and manager Bobby Gould subsequently resigned after the match.
Doncaster Rovers 4-2 Mansfield Town (attendance: 8,500)
Mansfield took the lead with Liam Lawrence getting his 7th of the season after 21 minutes, but Gregg Blundell put the sides on level terms 7 minutes before half time. Rovers took control in the second half, with Paul Green (53), Michael McIndoe (70, penalty) and Chris Brown (77) setting them apart. Substitute Wayne Corden sparked a Mansfield comeback with a lob 9 minutes from time, but the home side held on.
Lincoln City 3-1 Huddersfield Town (attendance: 5,718)
Andy Booth made it 5 for the season with a header in the opening minutes, but a tactical change at half time by Lincoln boss Keith Alexander turned the game in the Imps' favour. Gary Fletcher (61) and Marcus Richardson (65) put them in front, and Simon Yeo sealed it in injury time.
Southend United 1-2 Leyton Orient (attendance: 6,077)
Orient won the London derby, despite playing the second half with only ten men. Gary Alexander headed them in front after 27 minutes before team-mate Lee Thorpe was shown the red card for elbowing Duncan Jupp on the stroke of half time. Southend defender David McSweeney headed into his own goal with a minute to go, before team-mate Leon Constantine pulled one back in injury time. The Shrimpers drop into the bottom two.
Swansea City 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers (attendance: 6,825)
Kidderminster became only the second side this season to deny Swansea victory at the Vetch Field, although Swans forward Kevin Nugent spurned a late chance. However, a draw wasn't considered good enough by the Kidderminster board, and manager Ian Britton was sacked. Meanwhile, Swansea top scorer Lee Trundle is expected to return in around a fortnight after suffering knee ligament damage last week.
Torquay United 1-1 Hull City (attendance: 3,720)
David Graham stunned the league leaders with a 25-yard goal after just 7 minutes. However, Stuart Elliott salvaged a point with 13 minutes left on the clock. His sixth goal of the season denied Torquay becoming only the second team to defeat the Tigers in the league.
Yeovil Town 1-0 Darlington (attendance: 4,892)
Ryan Valentine gave away a penalty in the 5th minute for handball, and Gavin Williams despatched it. Darlington - without broken leg victim Barry Conlon - never looked like getting back into this match, and so suffered their third successive league defeat.
York City 1-1 Boston United (attendance: 3,190)
Jon Parkin hit the bar in the opening minute, and went one better by scoring just before half time after Boston keeper Paul Bastock dropped a cross. But Simon Weatherstone (58) headed an equaliser in the second half for Boston's second away point of the season.

Martin Smith (9) gave the Cobblers an early lead with a free kick, and Martin Richards hit the bar with a header. However, the visitors dominated the second half, and Richard Kell equalised 7 minutes into it.
