Steve MacLean - wanted man
The 21-year-old has scored 21 goals in 31 Division Three starts since moving to the Iron on loan from Rangers, making him the league's top scorer.

Taylor was publicly critical of him after he earned Scunthorpe a penalty in the Humberside derby at Glanford Park back in November, while MacLean celebrated scoring in the return fixture last month by diving in front of Taylor's dugout.

However, the City boss seems prepared to put that behind him as he bids to sign the player in the summer.

He told the Daily Record: "It's certainly true to say that we are interested in Steven MacLean and I have been impressed on the occasions that I've been to watch him. His movement is good and he knows how to score goals.
"We have made an enquiry about his availability, although we realise that he
is on loan away from Rangers at the moment.
"He is someone who I rate highly and has always done well when he's played against us so I'll have to wait and see what the position is going to be with him."

MacLean signed a one-year contract extension with Rangers in December, but first team chances could be few and far between for him at Ibrox.
