The Tigers boss left several big name players out of his side for the draw at Crewe on Monday, and a number of those could return tonight.

Billy Paynter - who came on as a substitute to score the equaliser in that game - looks set to start after two games on the bench. Mark Lynch has been on the sidelines with him for the last two games, and could come back.

John Welsh is also likely to return after not even being named in the 16-man squad at Crewe. He could replace Keith Andrews, who made his first start in three months after injury.

It could also be time for Curtis Woodhouse, who hasn't seen any first team action in over a month, to come back into the squad.

Ipswich boss Joe Royle, who previously managed Nick Barmby at Everton, rates the ex-England international as the biggest threat to his side, and Taylor could bring him back into the starting eleven after leaving him on the bench.

However, the City manager will also be looking ahead to the upcoming local derbies with Leeds and Sheffield United so will not be going gung ho with his team selection tonight.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Boaz Myhill; Mark Lynch, Leon Cort, Sam Collins, Andy Dawson; Ryan France, John Welsh, Damien Delaney, Nick Barmby; Craig Fagan, Billy Paynter.
Subs from: Matt Duke, Jason Price, Keith Andrews, Curtis Woodhouse, Stuart Green, Kevin Ellison, Stuart Elliott.
