Taylor: ''I'm Not Going To Gamble''

Taylor's second string take on Sheffield Wednesday at Boothferry Park this evening in the League Cup (kick-off: 7pm).

Loan goalkeeper Michel Kuipers is expected to start, while Andy Dawson is also set to make his first appearance since injuring his knee at Canvey Island in pre-season.

Peter Taylor commented: "Andy is a very important player but for me, he's been out for quite a while and there's no point pushing him.
"He's worked hard in training and he's made very good progress but we'll just see how it goes.
"He might just have 45 minutes tonight - at most. I can't see him playing the full 90 minutes.
"It's too early to say whether he will be in contention for Doncaster but the worst thing we could do is take a risk. I'm not going to gamble on him - or any of our players."

Meanwhile, Taylor says that defender Marc Joseph won't play again until he's fit enough for a full 90 minutes. He looks doubtful for Monday's all-ticket game at Belle Vue.
