Fettis twisted his knee in the defeat at Oxford, so Paul Musselwhite has deputised. Peter Taylor has not named a goalkeeping substitute for the last two games, but now has two fit professional 'keepers in his squad again with the signing of Michel Kuipers.

He joins on a month's loan from Taylor's old club Brighton. The 29-year-old Dutchman has played over 100 games for the Seagulls since being signed on a free transfer from Bristol Rovers three years ago. He was Albion's first choice keeper until January last season, but now has Ben Roberts in front of him.

Kuipers was in the Dutch Marines before joining SDW Amsterdam in 1997. He came to English football in 1999, playing just once for Bristol Rovers. He went on loan to Chester before Micky Adams signed him for Brighton.

His current manager at the Withdean Stadium, Steve Coppell, said: "Maybe a change of scenery with someone he knows may bring the best out of him, and I have said to him whatever happens, if we get an injury to Ben then I'll recall him straight away."
