Taylor Considering Options

The Tigers manager will be without Stuart Elliott and Ian Ashbee for Macclesfield Town's visit to the Kingston Communications Stadium.

Elliott is still out with a knee injury, so Andy Holt will continue to deputise on left wing. The Northern Irishman is expected to be fit for the FA Cup First Round tie at Cheltenham in two weeks. Ashbee meanwhile will begin a two-match suspension on Saturday, giving an opportunity for someone else to come into the side.

Dean Keates would be the obvious replacement, while Richard Hinds or Steve Melton may get a call-up. Alton Thelwell or Damien Delaney could even move from defence to midfield.

Taylor pondered: "It's not just a case of 'Keatesy' walking straight into the side and I think he knows that. He is one of the leading contenders but there are other options.
"There's Steve Melton who has been doing well in the reserves. Richard Hinds has played in that position and so has Alton Thelwell.
"There's also Damien Delaney and that would enable Marc Joseph to come back into the side at centre half. I've got all these things to think through over the next few days. It's not that straightforward."

Alton Thelwell, Andy Holt and Ben Burgess all suffered knocks in the win over Lincoln at the weekend, but will be fit to face Macclesfield.
