Strong Gone

Greg Strong - out of favour with Peter Taylor
27-year-old Strong has only made 3 appearances since being signed by Jan Molby from Motherwell in the summer, being sent off in his second game.

An elbow injury then kept him out of the side, and after returning to fitness he has been unable to get a look-in with the first team - a situation which has "frustrated" Strong.

Since taking over from Molby, Peter Taylor has told the former Wigan and Bolton centre back that he is not part of his plans and can leave the club.

He's now gone to Division 3 rivals Cheltenham on a one-month loan, with a view to a permanent deal at the end of it. City are unlikely to request a transfer fee should he leave. He's expected to make his debut against Tranmere tomorrow.
