Winterton Town open the pre-season ending with Athletico Bilbao

Athletic Club De Bilbao come to the KC Stadium on Saturday 29th July (kick-off 3pm) for City's final friendly of the pre-season schedule. The Basque side finished 12th in the Primera Division of La Liga this season, the league they have been in ever since 1928 and won 8 times.

Pre-season will begin, as it did last year, with a friendly at Winterton Rangers. City will be hoping for a repeat of the 4-0 win to get preperations off to a good start. The North Lincolnshire side finished the season 5th in the North Counties East League Division One. The fixture will be on Wednesday 12th July, kick-off 7:30pm, with admission being £4 for adults, £2 concessions.

As already revealed on this site, that will be followed by first team games at North Ferriby and Scunthorpe, and the visit of Aston Villa to the KC Stadium.

Further friendlies will be scheduled for non-first team players to build up their fitness.
