Sneekes Recall Expected

City are hoping to turn up the pressure on the top three who all play on Saturday. With that in mind, either Mark Greaves or Julian Johnsson will probably drop to the bench to allow playmaker Richard Sneekes to come back into the side.

Brian Little said: "We're approaching the time of season when winning games - and especially home games - becomes very important. Draws aren't really what we're looking for at this stage.
"There's still a chance for all the teams just outside the top three to put a really good run together and force their way into contention for automatic promotion. That's what we're challenging for. We'll keep trying and we'll keep working.
"We've got to be positive and take the game to Macclesfield. It's going to be tough but then we've already discovered there are no easy games in this division."

Little is hoping to take a last look at on-loan Neil Roberts before he returns to Wigan. He may take either forward's place, with a slight back injury worrying Gary Alexander, and Lawrie Dudfield currently struggling with form.

Little said of Dudfield: "Lawrie played poorly last week but he wasn't the only person who under-achieved, especially in the second half. He has found it hard going in recent weeks but he is a very good player and I've every confidence in him."

David Beresford is expected to return after resting a hamstring, replacing Rob Matthews on left wing.

Rodney Rowe and Ian Goodison have returned to training but will not play.

Expected line-up (4-4-2): Musselwhite; Edwards, Whittle, Wicks, Van Blerk; Williams, Johnsson, Sneekes, Beresford; Dudfield, Alexander.
Subs from: Glennon, Mohan, Petty, Greaves, Holt, Philpott, Matthews, Whitmore, Roberts.
