Selection Boosts For Taylor

Allsopp should be fit to start Saturday's game against Rochdale, and Taylor has revealed that he's relishing the chance to partner him with Ben Burgess again.

He said: "By the time Saturday comes along he'll have had a full week's training and we'll see how he is. If he's flying then he'll certainly come into consideration."

The Aussie has scored 13 goals for City this season - 1 less than Burgess - but Taylor thinks he could yet finish as Division Three top scorer if he can stay fit.

Meanwhile, Staurt Elliott has been cleared to play in next week's game at Boston. Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez has left him out of his squad to face Estonia at Taylor's request.

The City manager revealed: "He was going to be in the squad but we're playing Boston next Wednesday and I asked Lawrie to leave him out. We can't afford to lose players and Lawrie Sanchez understands the situation."

Andy Dawson won't be fit for that game, but Taylor is hopeful that the left-back will be back in the squad for the game at Kidderminster on April 3rd. He's been out for 5 weeks with a thigh injury.
