Rochdale Go For Buckley

Alan Buckley has been appointed the new manager at Spotland. The former Walsall, Grimsby and West Brom boss has been out of a job since parting company with Lincoln a year ago.

Little's been out of work for a similar time after being sacked by City in February 2002. He also missed out on the Aston Villa post.

Meanwhile, Terry Dolan was tipped to get the job at Rochdale after being sacked by York. However, he will still be paid for the entirity of his 12-month notice, a decision which has confused most, not least Dolan himself.

Former Minstermen Jon McCarthy and Paul Barnes are among the favourites to take over at Bootham Crescent.
